MORAVKA AND BESKY MOUNTAINS

Morávka is an important recreation center at the upper reaches of the Morávka River, wedged between the Travné and Slavíč massifs.
The village was first mentioned in 1623. Hammersmiths worked here in the 18th century. In 1964, a valley reservoir with a 44.5 m high and 396 m long loose dam was built near the village. Today, this reservoir serves as a reservoir for drinking water, so it is not used for recreation or fishing.

The mountains that surround the Morávka valley are ideal for hiking, cycling and cross-country skiing in winter. In summer and autumn there are excellent conditions for picking wild berries, and the surrounding forests are a paradise for mushroom pickers. Swimming is possible in the Moravka River. In winter, the SKI Morávka Sviňorky ski area is available for skiers and snowboarders.
The Morávka River Sources Educational Trail leads from the village, which is thematically focused on the Morávka River and describes some of the activities associated with it. The length of the trail is 14 km and has 9 stops.

ON WALK TOURISTIC

The most valuable currency of this village is the beautiful nature, which allows visitors plenty of sports activities, but also pleasant relaxing walks. In summer, there are many marked and unmarked hiking trails.
